Damah Film Festival

The Damah Film Festival is this coming weekend in Los Angeles. For those of you who haven't heard of it, this might help:

Damah encourages an emerging generation of filmmakers from diverse perspectives to voice the spiritual aspect of the human experience through film and provides a forum for these artists to develop, discuss and display their vision.

We have entered a film entitled "Anything But Silent", you can view this video on our website HERE. I'm excited to see it being screened. There are lots of good short films that will be shown over a three day period. If you are in the area and have the time you should definitely check it out.

Biola Media Conference

We had the pleasure of attending the Biola Media Conference this past saturday. It was a powerful and educational experience. I think my favorite part was listening to Erwin McManus speak. What a gifted guy!

Both Matt and I thought the workshops were also very good. The first one we went to was taught by George Temple, the president and founder of Sermon Spice. It was cool getting to meet him and some of his staff. They're good people. From the workshop we recieved a lot of useful information seeing as that's the industry we're in. The biggest obstacle we're looking at right now is advertising for our site once it's out...so expensive! We got a lot of good ideas here.

From Phil Cooke, a speaker at the conference, I brought home a valuable phrase that I hope I won't soon forget. "What are you wired to do?" There is such a huge temptation to go out and try to make movies and produce something huge. While that is a good thing, that might not be my thing. I want to continue finding out what God has wired me to do, and I hope I'll be faithful.

Almost there....

The site is sooo close! We're making some huge steps in the completion process. There's always those annoying road blocks that get in the way, but for the most part it's a race to the finish. We hope to have the site live by the end of the month.
It's been a long time coming, and a huge blessing to be able to be at this point. We've got a lot of work ahead of us, but I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. God has called us to this...and we're going to be faithful.
